No, our Corner Cap is designed for 90 degree corners only. Cut the angle required, using a small screw, (#8 x ¾”) fasten the joint through the flanges at the bottom. Use masking tape approx. ½” on either side of the cut and fill the joint using a good quality Urethane Caulking

No, we recommend using the Netcan Solvent Cement (clear) on the End Caps only. Use a small amount of Silicone or Urethane caulking under both the Sleeves and Corner Cap. The caulking in these area’s will act as a gasket to keep water from penetrating into the opening. Using the Solvent Cement in the area’s of Sleeves and Corner Caps will freeze the product and restrict the natural expansion and contraction of the Handrail Cover as the outside temperature changes with the seasons.
Netcan Solvent Cement is “CLEAR”. PVC cement in the plumbing dept. is coloured black or yellow, a little error will be impossible to cover up. When using the Netcan Solvent Cement always place the glue on the Handrail not the End Cap, by placing the glue on the End Cap the glue will run out over the face of the End Cap, leaving a mess.
Any fine tooth saw will cut the Handrail Cover, the most important issue is to place a block of wood inside the railing in order to keep the Railing from vibrating and chipping.
Yes, ideally a Zipper Tool, used by the Vinyl Siding industry works best however, using a flat screw driver works well also.

As a rule, we do a really good job of white. The original series of accessories and Quicksilver Building Products (QBP) siding accessories have become economical, budget priced products. These products can be coloured - we have the technology but the market has not demanded a range of colours in this product line. Our "Third Wave" Self Flashing Technology is available in a range of colour options.
VSA parts are primarily manufactured using virgin Polypropylene Plastic (PP). The surface of PP is very smooth, the molecules are minute, and the surface seals in the larger molecules, leaving the surface too smooth to accept either glues or paints without a special treatment. However, Krylon plastic fusion products (http://www.krylon.com/products/fusion_for_plastic/) adhere to PP very well.
Agreed, plastic is not a naturally evolved building material, such as wood or stone. As plastics go, PP is generally safe to work with and does not contain halogens, bromine or phosphorus. It does not generate any dangerous off-gassing during manufacturing, which is a huge safety concern for production workers when using injection molded PVC. Polypropylene is used in many commonly familiar applications. In cars, most bumpers, pads, dashboards and door panels, among other components, made of PP. PP has great weather ability, with the right UV additive PP is resistant to exterior elements, and it will typically retain its original colour and durability for the life of the building.
The original QBP accessories were designed in 1987 when water intrusion was created by a water sprinkler spraying into an open window. Since that time, the building industry has made great progress in air sealing homes and thus developed the need for flashing and sealing openings. The original QBP Light Plate, Plug Plate, Dryer Vent and Utility Plates series, has been retooled, creating an interior dam between the front plate and the back plate which prevents water from seeping between the parts. When the accessories are installed professionally using the recommended double layer of overlapping building paper and back caulking, the water penetration is too minimal to create a problem. Round Plastic Mini Louvers (PML) are used anywhere ventilation is required in a weather protected area. For example, they are not recommended on an open wall where there is no roof protection at least half the distance down the wall compared to the length of the overhang. If the roof overhang -is 24” wide, do not mount the PML below 12” from the top of the wall. Typically the 5-inch or 6 inch PMLs are used as additional soffit ventilation to supplement the roof ventilation. Round PML vents are easy and quick to install. It's easier to use a drill than a jig saw, especially overhead. From cupboards and stereo cabinetry to garbage cans, PMLs move air and moisture whereever you need them.
